KIEV, Jan. 9 - Ukraine has the necessary means and resources to achieve stability and development in 2014 if its society unites, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said.

"We have everything to make the year 2014 a year of stability and development. Given the consolidation of society on such purposes the year 2014 will be a year of stable prices, a stable exchange rate, a steady increase in salaries and pensions, as well as all additional payments to state employees for the quality and amount of work," he said, while opening a government meeting on Thursday.

He said that this year must become a watershed year.
