KIEV, Nov. 29 - Royal Dutch Shell reported “positive results” after drilling the first exploratory well at a major shale gas deposit in Ukraine, the Environment and National Resources Ministry reported Friday.

Graham Tiley, Shell’s vice-president on exploration and production, met Oleh Proskuriakov, the environment and national resources minister, on Friday to discuss the results.
