KIEV, Oct. 10 - The average customs value of gas imported by Ukraine in September was $407 per 1,000 cubic meters, which is 3.4% higher than in August ($393.50 per 1,000 cubic meters), according to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
The corresponding figure is taken as the actual price of gas produced in Ukraine when calculating charges for use of mineral resources.
In addition, according to the ministry, UAH 6,431.63 per ton, which is 0.03% less than in August (UAH 6,433.38), is taken as the September price of crude oil extracted in Ukraine when calculating charges for use of mineral resources.
In addition to the traditional imports of Russian gas, Ukraine from November 2012 started receiving natural gas from Europe under the contract with Germany's RWE. The gas from Germany costs less than Russian gas.
