MOSCOW, Sept. 10 - Russia's Lukoil announced it has restarted polyethylene production at its Karpatnaftokhim petrochemicals plant in Ukraine's Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Production was launched in the presence of Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and Lukoil's president, Vagit Alekperov.
Karpatnaftokhim intends to bring polyethylene production to full capacity, to 100,000 tons per year, by the end of September.
According to the company, it is planned by the same date to bring vinyl chloride and caustic soda production to full capacity.
