KIEV, Sept. 5 – Ukraine on December 15 will hold special elections to pick five lawmakers whose elections in five districts last year had been cancelled due to heavy manipulation by pro-government candidates.

The special legislation was approved overwhelmingly in a compromise vote by the ruling Regions Party and opposition groups following repeated arguments over the date of the elections.
