KIEV, Aug. 19 - Ukraine plans by early October to select a company to build its first plant converting coal to synthetic gas amid attempts to reduce imports of Russian natural gas, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytskiy said.
The plant, which will be built in Severodonetsk, the Luhansk region bordering Russia, is the first of three that are supposed to be erected in Ukraine over the next several years.
