Foreign direct equity investment fell in Q2, government reports

KIEV, Aug. 14 - Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Ukraine in the form of equity capital in Q2 dropped for the first time since the first quarter of 2010 – by $390 million, the State Statistics Service reported.

The service said that over the quarter foreign investors injected $1.055 billion in the Ukrainian economy, while withdrawing $1.624 billion.

The service said that in April-June 2013 the forex rate difference in the estimation of FDI was $117 million.
