KIEV, Aug. 7 – Consumers most often receive poor quality medicines through unlicensed retailers, the State Administration on Medicinal Products said.
"According to statistics from the World Health Organization, 87% of low quality, counterfeit and falsely labeled drugs come to consumers through unlicensed ways. These are primarily the Internet, supermarkets, and petrol stations. Only 13% of such medicines come through legal networks - pharmacies or medical institutions," administration first deputy head Inna Demchenko said at a panel discussion in Kiev on Tuesday.
