ALMATY/KIEV, Aug. 2 – The sanitary and epidemiological supervision committee of the Health Ministry of Kazakhstan has issued an order to inspect the products of Roshen confectionary corporation imported to Kazakhstan, Committee Chairman Zhandarbek Bekshin told Interfax-Kazakhstan.
He said that under Article 7 of the Customs Union on sanitary measures, Customs Union members took liabilities to inform each other about cases of discovering products that are not in line which common sanitary and epidemiological requirements and the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union.
"The sanitary and epidemiological supervision committee has not received official information on the non-correspondence of Roshen confectionary corporation's products from Russia's Federal Service for Health and Consumer Rights [Rospotrebnadzor]. However, due to media reports on the establishing of violations, the committee ordered checks on the products of Roshen in Kazakhstan," he said.
