KIEV, July 1 – Chornomorsky Shipbuilding Yard (Mykolaiv) has finished building a multi-purpose sea tug under an order from Latvia's PKL Flote, the shipyard has reported.
The shipyard said that the vessel was launched on June 27.
The tug was built under a contract signed by Chornomorsky Shipbuilding Yard and PKL Flote in June 2012.
"The shipyard started building and designing this class vessel early this circle and it does not plan to stop building the tugs. The tugs built by the shipyard are operating at three Ukrainian ports today: Kherson, Feodosiya and Yuzhny oil terminal," said Valeriy Kalashnykov, director general of Chornomorsky Shipbuilding Yard.
