KIEV, June 6 – The Income and Tax Ministry is ready to monitor the quality of imported fuel, despite the fact that it has only one stationary laboratory.

Income and Tax Minister Oleksandr Klymenko said at a briefing that the required lab divisions that are able to carry out the tests are being placed at Ukrainian customs checkpoints.

"We'll do this systemically and professionally. We have Article 69 of the Customs Code, which obliges us to check the goods. As for the technical possibilities – we have one laboratory, but there are divisions in the regions and this gives us a 100% opportunity to efficiently monitor the quality of fuel," the minister said.
