KIEV, June 3 - Ukraine, which seeks to reduce its dependence on Russian natural gas imports, is in talks with Romania to open a route for gas imports from Europe, Vadym Chuprun, deputy head of Naftogaz Ukrayiny, said Monday.

The supplies via Romania would be the fourth route for gas imports from Europe as Ukraine seeks to increase capacity for such gas imports.
