KIEV, April 22 – The Antimonopoly Committee has permitted the key shareholder in Delta Bank, Mykola Lahun, to gain control over Kiev-based Swedbank.

Lahun obtained the right to buy a stake in Swedbank, which will ensure over 50% of the votes in the bank's board.

Swedbank is selling a 99.9998% stake in its Ukrainian subsidiary to the key shareholders in Delta Bank Mykola Lahun. The sale and purchase agreement with Lahun has been signed, and the deal will be completed by the end of the first half of 2013.
