KIEV, March 15 - President Viktor Yanukovych on Friday urged the government to approve measures later this month that would protect domestic oil refineries against cheap gasoline imports.

The call was made in the National Action Plan, a program of economic reforms for 2013-2014, which was approved by Yanukovych and posted on his website.

This comes as Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytskiy said last month that the government will probably introduce duties on imports of gasoline and diesel fuel in March.
