KIEV, Feb. 20 - Ukraine plans this year to resume imports of natural gas from Turkmenistan, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytskiy said Wednesday.
He said imports are expected to reach 10 billion cubic meters of gas in 2013, adding that he was optimistic that Russia will allow safe transit of Turkmeni gas to Ukraine.
“We are looking at the situation very optimistically,” Stavytskiy said at a press conference. “We will work out all details and will sign all official papers.”
