KIEV, Jan. 23 – The volume of monetary gold in the international reserves of Ukraine in 2012 increased by 26.5%, to 1.14 million troy ounces, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.

According to the NBU, the share of monetary gold in the international reserves of Ukraine last year grew by 0.64 percentage points, from 4.36% to 4.99%, while the total amount of international reserves for 2012 decreased by 22.8%, to $24.546 billion.
