KIEV, Nov. 26 – The eastern part of the arch of the new containment structure over the fourth reactor at Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant was erected on November 24.

The construction is 22 meters high and weighs 5,300 tons, the Web site of the plant reported.

Work to install the arch of the new containment structure over the fourth reactor at Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant started on April 26.
