KIEV, Oct. 23 – The Agrarian Fund on November 1 starts state forward purchases of bread wheat and rye and fodder barley from the 2013 harvest.
A total of 1.3 million tons of grain will be bought. The minimum batch of wheat is 5,000 tons, that for rye – 500 tons, and barley -1,000 tons.
In H1, the Agrarian Fund signed forward contracts on supply of 876,000 tons of grain of the 2012 harvest.
In September, the Cabinet of Ministers amended the procedure for performing state grain forward purchases to bring it in line with the law on the specifics of insurance of food stuffs with state support, with the aim of improving the mechanism for buying under forward contracts.
