KIEV, Oct. 22 - Ukraine’s Kherson Shipbuilding Plant on Monday finished construction of a large oil tanker, the first such tanker built in the country since 1991, as the government mulls tax breaks to boost the steel sector.
The tanker, capable of shipping crude oil and petroleum products, such as gasoline, is part of $50 million contract with SVL of Malta. The tanker, known as RST27, is the first of three to be built for SVL, the company reported.
