KIEV, Oct. 10 - State-run Chornomornaftogaz (Simferopol) in January-September increased its natural gas extraction by 14.7% or by 108 million cubic meters year-over-year, to 843 million cubic meters, the company reported.
"The key growth was seen in the third quarter… In July-September, when Chornomornaftogaz extracted 300.9 million cubic meters, which is 18.2% or 46 million cubic meters more year-over-year. Works on completing the equipping of the Shtormove and Arkhanhelske fields, and the overhaul of the wells at the Holitsynske field were the main reasons for the growth in extraction," reads the report.
Chornomornaftogaz increased its production of natural gas by 0.5% in 2011, to 1.056 billion cubic meters, and its oil production by 1.1%, to 8,800 tons, while its gas condensate production dropped by 4.8%, to 67,100.
