KIEV, Oct. 1 – The price of grain crops on the domestic market is rising and will continue to do so, the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry said.
"The situation on the grain crop domestic market is active and has an upward trend for prices… It is expected that in future the situation on the grain market will be that there is an upward trend for prices," reads a ministry report.
The ministry said that the present rise in grain prices was linked to high demand for grain on the foreign markets, the completion of a first wave of mass sales of grain by farmers, and the presence of non-closed contracts of grain traders.
According to the report, fodder wheat and corn is being sold the most actively today.
