KIEV, Sept. 6 - Parliament on Thursday voted to approve a plan to build two new nuclear power reactors at Khmelnytskiy Nuclear Power Plant.
The plan, which was in July approved by the government, calls for construction of two Russian designed VVER-1,000/V-392 units with capacity of 1,000 megawatts each.
The plan was approved by 253 lawmakers in the 450-seat Parliament, underscoring strong political support for nuclear power energy projects in Ukraine.
