KIEV, Aug. 28 – International observers at the upcoming parliamentary elections in Ukraine will have an opportunity to make sure that the election process will be held strictly according to the law and European standards, said Ivan Popesku, a member of the ruling Regions Party.

"The president, the government, the Foreign Ministry, the ruling coalition and the Regions Party invited observers from various international organizations and countries in order that they come to Ukraine and confirm that the election process in the country is held in line with European standards, we adhere to the election law and we are ready to prove that Ukraine is a European state," Popesku said.
