KIEV, Aug. 27 - The government has authorized the issue of 2.3 billion hryvnias, or $287 million, in state guarantees for investment projects to build a liquefied natural gas terminal near Odessa.

A Cabinet resolution authorizing the issue was approved on August 8, but was officially posted on the government’s website on Monday.

The state guarantees will be issued by the Finance Ministry, the Economy Ministry and by the State Investment and National Projects Management Agency helping the project to secure loans to begin the construction.
