KIEV, Aug. 6 - The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Oversight (Rosselkhoznadzor) has compelled its regional offices to conduct full veterinary inspection of the goods coming from Ukraine by all means of transport, including hand luggage, baggage, or by post, so as to prevent import of pork products from the Zaporizhia region.
The relevant directive is contained in a letter sent by the agency's deputy chief, Nikolai Vlasov, to Rossekhoznadzor's regional offices, the agency said on its website.
