KIEV, August 1 – Alfa-Bank (Ukraine), VTB Bank (both based in Kiev) and UkrSibbank (Kharkiv) are asking Prime Minister Mykola Azarov for help in collecting a debt of over $250 million from the AIS Group.
Roman Shpek, a senior advisor of Alfa-Bank (Ukraine) and the chairman of the committee for production of rights of creditors of the Independent Association of Banks of Ukraine, said at a press conference in Kiev on Tuesday that the address to the Ukrainian premier was signed by Alfa-Bank President Alexander Lukanov, VTB Bank Board Chairman Vadym Pushkarev and UkrSibbank acting CEO Serhiy Panov.
