KIEV, June 19 - The grain harvest in Ukraine in 2012 will be lower that last year due to adverse weather conditions, forecasts the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
"Assessing the situation as a whole, it is worse than last year, but not worse than in 2010 or in other years when we saw drought in the country," Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center head Mykola Kulbida said at a briefing in Kiev on Monday.
According to Kulbida, there are very complicated agro-meteorological conditions in the western regions: soil over-saturation on the background of low temperatures.
