KIEV, May 23 - Ukraine warned Russia that it will significantly reduce purchases of natural gas to be stored in underground gas storage facilities this year, a move that can potentially make European gas supplies more vulnerable.

Ukraine said it will limit the purchases to meet domestic demand only, adding that Gazprom can rent the rest of the facilities to store its gas for securing European supplies.
