KIEV, May 21 - Ukraine will seek to postpone any hike in natural gas prices for households until after the government introduces energy conservation measures and financial assistance to the poor, a senior official said Monday.

Valeriy Khoroshkovskiy, Ukraine’s first deputy prime minister, said the measures are aimed at reducing consumption of gas and avoiding social unrest.
