BRUSSELS, May 14 – Brussels has not yet made a decision on a possible boycott of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship in Ukraine, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton said.
The discussion of the issue will continue, she said in Brussels on Monday following a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
"We have not made a decision yet. This was not a dialogue, in which someone was arguing. This was a dialogue during which we discussed the importance of football, the importance of politicians being politicians, and the importance of them working together. We should see what happens next, and not make decisions before it is necessary, not to make a decision before something happens. Moreover, we are holding a council on neighborhood policy tomorrow," Ashton said.
