KIEV, Feb. 28 - Ukraine, following a feasibility study, has selected a site for the construction of a planned liquefied natural gas terminal near the port of Pivdenniy in the Odessa region, a senior official said Tuesday.

Vladyslav Kaskiv, the head of the State Investment and National Projects Management Agency, which handles the terminal project, said the decision will be officially announced next month.

Ukraine has been choosing between two sites: the Pivdenniy port and the port of Ochakiv in the Mykolayiv region for the construction of the terminal that is aimed at improving the country’s energy security.
