KIEV, Feb. 22 - Ukraine’s largest privately owned coal mining and power generating company, DTEK, will dramatically increase coal output after taking over two major state-owned coal producers in December, a company official said Wednesday.

DTEK is expected to produce 40 million metric tons of coal in 2012, up from 22.9 million mt in 2011, Maksym Tymchenko, DTEK’s general manager, said.
