KIEV, Feb. 17 – The cabinet has approved a feasibility study on the construction of a neutron source facility based on a sub-critical assembly operated by the electron accelerator on the territory of the Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology.
The decision is stipulated in cabinet resolution No. 100 of February 15.
The neutron source will use 38 (43) VVR-M2-like fuel rod arrays. Uranium-235 with an enrichment level of 19.8% will be used as fuel.
