KIEV, Feb. 16 - Ukraine will more actively tackle issues of energy security, including increasing production of alternative energy, Andriy Kliuyev, the recently appointed secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, said Thursday.

“Energy security and energy efficiency are the most important tasks,” Kliuyev said in comments released on Thursday. “The competitiveness of the entire country and our perspectives in decades to follow depend on solving this task.”
