KIEV, Feb. 7 - The amount of natural gas transiting Ukraine and bound for Europe decreased 11.93%, or by 1.247 billion cubic meters (bcm), year-on-year to 9.208 bcm in January.
Ukrtransgaz, a subsidiary of national oil and gas company Naftogaz Ukrainy, said that January gas transit to Western Europe was down 12.2% (by 1.226 bcm) at 8.823 bcm, and transit to countries in the CIS was down 5.19% (by 21.13 million cubic meters (mcm)) at 385.71 mcm.
