KIEV, Feb. 6 – Inflation in Ukraine in January was 0.2%, same as in December 2011, the State Statistics Service reported on Monday.
In annual terms (against the same month of the previous year) inflation in January 2012 fell to 3.7%, from 4.2% in December, the service said.
The agency said that prices for food and non-alcohol beverages increased by 0.2%. The biggest price increases were posted for vegetables and fruits, up 3.6% and 2.4%, respectively. In addition, prices for beef, fermented dairy goods, cheer, non-alcohol beverages, margarine, butter and poultry meat went up by 0.7%-0.2%.
