KIEV, Feb. 2 - Ukraine will seek to increase exports of power to Moldova, and later to the European Union, after completing a system upgrade, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said Thursday.
“We are interested in increasing power exports to Moldova,” Azarov told his Moldovan counterpart, Vlad Filat, at a meeting in Kiev, the government’s press service reported.
Azarov said the exports will increase, including to Europe, after its power grid in the region is upgraded, allowing synchronizing the Ukrainian, Moldovan and European power grids.
