KIEV, Jan. 31 - A rescue operation is underway to save four Ukrainian coal miners that have been trapped following an accident at a coal mine in the Donestk region, the emergency ministry reported Tuesday.
Four separate rescue teams are working to get through to the trapped miners at the depth of 1,090 meters at the Rumyantseva coal mine in Horlivka, the Donetsk region, the ministry said.
The rescue teams have managed to establish communication with the miners and all of them are reported to be in satisfactory condition.
