KIEV, Jan. 25 - The eldest son of French President Nicolas Sarkozy left Ukraine on Wednesday after spending a day in the hospital with apparent food poisoning, officials said.

"He has left Ukraine," the French embassy said, without commenting further, AFP reported.

Local authorities in resort city of Odessa said earlier that Pierre Sarkozy, a 26-year-old hip-hop producer known as DJ Mosey, had been taken to hospital but that his life was not in danger.
