KIEV, Dec. 19 – Ukraine has received the right to host the European basketball championship in 2015.

FIBA Europe President Olafur Rafnsson announced a respective decision by the FIBA Europe Board in Munich, Germany, on Sunday.

On December 14, France, Croatia, Germany and Italy withdrew their joint bid to host EuroBasket 2015 citing "doubts regarding the professionalism and the lack of trust in the bidding process conducted by the European Basketball Federation, FIBA Europe."
