KIEV, Dec. 15 – Regions MP Oleh Tsariov has proposed that Parliament introduce an additional 5% duty for mobile operators and to transfer it to the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

The MP registered a relevant bill No. 9577 on amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine (regarding extension of the number of payers of duty for compulsory state pension insurance) on December 9.

The explanatory note the bill reads that in 2010 mobile operators transferred to the Pension Fund UAH 1.358 billion. According to the author, the adoption of the bill would increase payments to the Pension Fund by at least UAH 900 million.
