KIEV, Dec. 6 – Ukraine agreed to surrender control over its natural gas pipelines to Russia’s Gazprom in exchange for lower gas prices, and this agreement may be signed later this week, a lawmaker said Tuesday citing a source.

Ukraine and Russia have been making major progress in natural gas talks over the past two months, but neither party has yet disclosed any details of the talks.
