KIEV, Oct. 26 – The Ukrainian Association of Ferroalloy Producers (UkrFA) has called on the Cabinet of Ministers to take measures to prevent the shutdown of Ecological Initiative, a ferrosilicon production company based in Stakhanov (Luhansk region).

The association made the call in an open letter to the Cabinet of Ministers.

"UkrFA is appealing to the Cabinet of Ministers and Prime Minister [Mykola] Azarov in an attempt to draw attention to the difficult situation surrounding one of our members, the Ecological Initiative limited liability company," the association said in the letter.

According to the letter, the operation of the Ecological Initiative company was stable, and it was operating at almost 100% of its capacity in the first half of 2011.
