KIEV, Oct. 19 - Ukraine and Russia may sign a new natural gas deal, which is supposed to lower gas prices, before the end of the month, President Viktor Yanukovych said Wednesday.

Both countries reported progress in the talks after a meeting between Yanukovych and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev on September 24, but details of the talks have been kept secret.
