KIEV, July 4 – President Viktor Yanukovych and his Cypriot counterpart Demetris Christofias attended a ceremony to sign bilateral documents in Kiev on Monday.
The press service of the Ukrainian president reported that the sides had signed four intergovernmental agreements on cooperation in various fields, as well as a memorandum of understanding between the foreign ministries of Ukraine and Cyprus on cooperation in matters related to the European Union.
In particular, an intergovernmental agreement on economic, scientific, technological and industrial cooperation between Ukraine and Cyprus foresees the creation of industrial complexes, the modernization of industrial enterprises, the exchange of scientific and technological information, technical experts and research facilities, and the development of infrastructure projects and tourism.
