KIEV, June 17 – A criminal case against former Prime Minister and Batkivschyna party leader Yulia Tymoshenko on charges of abuse of power while signing of gas contracts with Russia in 2009 has been submitted to Pechersky District Court of Kiev.

Investigator in charge of this criminal case Oleksandr Nechvohlod told this to Tymoshenko's defender MP Serhiy Vlasenko, the press service of the Batkivschyna party reported.

"The case was submitted to the court with yet another flagrant violation of the Criminal Procedure Code and against common sense," Vlasenko said.
