KIEV, June 8 – State-run Chornomornaftogaz (Simferopol, Crimea) has paid $202 million to a company building it a drilling platform, according to Yevhen Bakulin, head of Naftogaz Ukrayiny.
"We've paid $202 million. We have copies of receipts that can be confirmed by requests sent to banks," he said on the Fifth TV Channel.
Bakulin said that the difference between the price of a drilling platform from the manufacturer (around $250 million) and the end price that the company plans to pay to Welsh Highway Investment Processing LLP ($400 million) is linked to the later installation of additional equipment on the platform, as the manufacturer made it with minimum equipment.
