KIEV, June 2 – The National Bank of Ukraine openly questioned the government’s inflation forecast for this year, adding that the error would most likely force it to tighten monetary policy and that would slow down economic growth.
Serhiy Arbuzov, the governor of the NBU, sent a letter to Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, warning that consumer inflation had accelerated to an annualized 9.4% in April.
