KIEV, May 19 – The assets of Ukraine's banks rose by 2.2% in April. to UAH 1.021 trillion, while their total assets (including reserves and inter-branch turnover) were up by 2.3%, to UAH 1.176 trillion, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
According to a report, the share of credit operations in total assets was 66.3%, and that of investments in securities was 8.7%.
The banks' paid-in and registered charter capital last month grew by 4%, to UAH 153 billion. In general, the banks' capital reached UAH 145.8 billion, or 14.3% of banks' liabilities.
