KIEV, May 10 - Natural gas transit through Ukraine to countries in the CIS and Europe 2011 rose by 12% or 4.3 billion cubic meters (bcm) in January-April to 40.264 bcm, Ukrtransgaz, a subsidiary of Naftogaz, reported.
Gas transit to Western Europe was up 12.5% or 4.315 bcm, to 38.933 bcm, but to the CIS it was down by 1.2% or 15.59 million cubic meters, to 1.331 bcm.
Ukrtransgaz delivered 24.532 bcm to customers in Ukraine, which was 2% or 471.44 million cubic meters up year-over-year.
